Welcome to City Slopes, Grand Rapids’ indoor home for kids’ ski and snowboard lessons. Our warm, controlled environment lets young skiers and riders build real mountain skills without the wind chill or unpredictable weather. Using a combination of our innovative revolving slope and beginner-friendly ramp, we help students gain balance, confidence, and coordination to build up existing skills or have them ready long before they reach the slopes.
Whether your child is just starting out or looking to improve technique, our Ski and Snowboard Classes offer a supportive, engaging place to grow.
From City Slopes to Cruising Slopes
BEGINNER FRIENDLY
No experience necessary. We cover stance, balance, safety, and fundamental movements—all at a gentle, fun, and progressive pace that benefits riders at all levels.
SLOPE READY
Our goal for all our students is to build the confidence and skills to navigate green and easy-blue terrain without assistance, making the most of their time on the slopes with friends and family.

Safety and fun are core to learning, and we provide high-quality equipment to all our skiers and snowboarders to ensure a safe, consistent experience.
Weekly Ski School
Ski School meets once a week for 6 weeks, with only 3-4 riders per class, ensuring personalized coaching and steady progress.
Join us for our weekly scheduled Ski School conveniently scheduled on weekday mornings and afternoons, and on weekends. These sessions are designed to provide consistent practice and expert guidance, helping your child build their skills over time in a structured environment.

Weekly Snowboard School

Safe
Our slope is equipped with detection sensors, safety bars, a handheld remote for the instructor, and control box with emergency shutoff.

With adjustable angle and speed settings, our slope is the perfect tool to facilitate instruction and progression for any age or ability.

Ski around trees and snowmen, navigate your way through a slalom course, and more. Stay challenged and have fun with our interactive slalom projector.
